On-Site Training

GREAT Forklift Training SCHOOL offers forklift training at your facility. The course involves classroom time, tests, and followed by a hands-on skill assessment on-site at your place of employment. This training is for all types and models of forklifts and lift trucks. This course encourages participants to take an active role by observing, analyzing and discussing recommended forklift safety practices. Participants must successfully pass a written exam and a hands-on forklift skills test to receive a certificate of completion from Great and a license to operate forklifts and lift trucks.

GREAT Forklift Training SCHOOL programs meet or exceed the CSA Standard and the Ontario Ministry of Labour’s “Guidelines for the Safe Operation and Maintenance of Powered Lift Truck Trucks”. GREAT Forklift Training SCHOOL provides fully customizable Entry Level Lift Truck Operator Training & Certification courses for operators with little or no experience and Refresher Courses for experienced operators. The CSA Standard B335-04 recommends that lift truck operators receive retraining on both theory and practical every three years with a mid-term practical evaluation.

Our training goes well beyond getting our students to pass the assessment or get a job; we prepare them for any kind of workplace setting and unexpected on-the-job situations. We serve small, medium, and large businesses and individuals all over Ontario. GREAT is the leading industrial skills training organisation in Toronto, ON, Canada. Employees with forklift training or certification will increase their opportunities and marketability. Well trained operators who recognize the importance of safe and efficient forklift operations are valued by employers in a wide variety of industries. From those experiences I formed the principles that still guide our training today:

Working environments where hazardous materials or dangerous goods are present will require additional employee training in principles of TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) and WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System). Safety training is required by provincial and federal regulations and is a sound investment in the success of your company.

At our school, we are committed to safety beyond paperwork. Our first priority is the success of your business and the safety of your employees.
